I am gasping and gasping some more!! Thank you, to all of you who responded instantly and HUGELY to my launch of the website last night.
At Bhoomi Crop, we keep thinking on how we can create a national consciousness about farming. Especially in urban India. Do you know, there is this organisation in Australia, who are driving a global effort to create roof-top farms? Now imagine the thrust of multistorey buildings in India and the opportunity of many million square feet of terraces than can be dedicated to farming?! Imagine carrot or onion growing on your rooftop farm and that how the residents will bond together; imagine the wonderful impact on our climate as a whole. There is no electricity at our farm. Laptops run on battery, lanterns on kerosene. Food is basic. The house is made of earth.Egg-tray smoke is the the mosquito repellant. Fireflies & cricket are our evening companions. Rogue elephants threaten our life often. Mobile phones dont work when you want the most. Welcome to Bhoomi Life!

Journey of Bhoomi Crop
Bhoomi Crop is the first limited liability organised farming and distribution company in Bengal. Four CXO level friends put this together. We have no formal training in the art and science of farming and everyday, I, Kaushik Mukherji, learn a new lesson at the farm.
