A warm welcome to you, to Bhoomi Crop!

It was a fairly emotional moment when I jumped into the completely unknown world of NPK, Ph level, vermicompost and you name it; it was like taking that final plunge, almost like getting married! Bhoomi Crop is more than a business, it is a dream on its way to reality. If Amul was an inspiration, the reality on the ground is an even bigger driver to succeed. Yes, commodity is one of the top three businesses in the world, yes, a six billion global people eating three meals a day means a billion kilos of vegetables eaten daily! And the bigger reality is that almost 20% of our national GDP is from the farms but less than 1% is authentic organised farming. Bhoomi Crop is ambitious. Just like my little daughter. Small but firm steps. Scared but not scared to explore. Keep coming back. Do write in, if you feel. Most importantly, eat well and stay healthy. As we say in Bengali, "bhalo theko"! Keep well! Cheers! Before I forget, a big thank you to "Mr".Bappai, Kumar, Tridibesh and "lutapi". And Dinesh!

Journey of Bhoomi Crop

Journey of Bhoomi Crop
Bhoomi Crop is the first limited liability organised farming and distribution company in Bengal. Four CXO level friends put this together. We have no formal training in the art and science of farming and everyday, I, Kaushik Mukherji, learn a new lesson at the farm. Illiterate farmers in the villages, the closeby IIT (Kharagpur) are my teachers and supporters. We are extremely bullish on this business opportunity, which is already making a social difference too.
